Who we are

Clear, living water, the way nature intended

Nature's Pond Care is a brand of Koenders Water Solutions Inc., a Canadian company that has been solving water problems since 1988. It began on the Saskatchewan prairies with a simple idea: give water more oxygen and let nature do the rest.

More than three decades later, that same belief runs through everything we make. Instead of masking pond problems with harsh chemicals, our conditioners, aeration and simple routines work on the root cause, so water gets clearer, healthier and easier to enjoy, season after season.

We're a pond-care brand inside a water company, not a chemical company that happens to sell pond products. That distinction shapes every formula, every guide and every recommendation we make.

From backyard ponds to working acreages across North America, we help people spend less time fighting their water and more time enjoying it.

How it works

We treat the cause, not the symptom

Green water and muck are signs of too many nutrients in the pond, not the problem itself. Our conditioners put beneficial bacteria and enzymes to work digesting those nutrients, while aeration keeps oxygen moving from the bottom up. Together they break the cycle at its source, with no harsh chemicals, so the fish, plants and wildlife that share your water stay part of the picture.

Bacteria and enzymes digest the muck
Beneficial bacteria and enzymes break down the excess nutrients and organic sludge that feed algae. As that food supply shrinks, the water has less to grow.
Aeration works from the bottom up
Aeration circulates the pond and adds oxygen from the bottom up. Oxygen keeps the water and sediment aerobic, which supports the good bacteria doing the work.
The algae cycle breaks at its source
Bacteria and aeration work together to remove what algae needs to thrive. Instead of masking a bloom, this targets the underlying cycle so problems ease over time.
No harsh chemicals in a living pond
The approach relies on biology and oxygen rather than harsh chemicals, so it is designed to be safe for a living pond when the products are used as directed. Always follow the label.

What we stand for

A different way to care for water

Four beliefs shape every product, guide and recommendation we make.

Treat the cause, not the symptom

Green water and muck are symptoms of excess nutrients. Our approach works on those nutrients at the source with beneficial bacteria and enzymes, so problems fade instead of coming back.

Safe by design

No harsh chemicals, by design. Our conditioners are formulated to be safe for fish, pets and wildlife when used as directed, because a pond is a living ecosystem, not a swimming pool.

Made in Canada

We develop and produce our formulas in Saskatchewan. Real people who know water stand behind every order.

Better over time, not worse

A healthy pond is self-sustaining. Paired with aeration, natural biology keeps building, so your water stays clearer for longer with less effort each year.

We never set out to sell harsh chemicals. We set out to help water take care of itself, and that idea still guides everything we make.
