The 7 inch Diffuser Airstone is where aeration happens at the bottom of your pond. It breaks the compressed air from your windmill, solar or electric compressor into a dense column of fine bubbles, and those bubbles transfer oxygen efficiently while lifting and circulating the entire water column from the bottom up.
